September 23, 2024 has been the deadliest day in Lebanon since the ongoing conflict in Gaza began almost a year ago. In just one day, 500 lives were lost, and over 1,800 civilians, including innocent children, were injured.
The destruction has shaken the country to its core.
Families are fleeing their homes in terror. The violence has torn through residential neighborhoods, forcing even more families to make the heartbreaking decision to abandon everything they know. Over 116,000 people have already been displaced over the past year, and with the escalation of violence, thousands more will likely experience the same.
The people of Lebanon are in urgent need of our help. As the crisis intensifies, the most vulnerable — children, the elderly, and families — are facing unimaginable suffering.
